How we handle your data.

Last Updated: July 5th, 2026

Pull-Up Tracker ("the App") is developed by Lauri Oherd and is available for iPhone and iPad (the iOS app) and for Android devices (the Android app). This Privacy Policy covers both apps and explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting it. Where the two apps differ, the differences are called out below.

1. Overview

Pull-Up Tracker is designed with privacy in mind. Your workout data stays on your devices and is never shared with third parties. We do not collect personal information, track your usage, or display advertisements — on either platform.

2. Information We Collect

a. Data You Enter

The App stores only the data you explicitly enter:

  • Pull-up entries (date, time, rep count)
  • Workout type (normal, weighted, assisted, other)
  • Optional weight and notes for each entry
  • Your preferences (default reps, appearance mode, weight unit)
  • Daily and weekly goal settings

b. What We Don't Collect

  • No personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • No location data
  • No usage analytics or tracking
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No third-party analytics SDKs

3. Data Storage

a. Local Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device — using Apple's SwiftData framework on iOS, and a local database on Android. It never leaves your device except through iCloud sync on iOS (described below) or an export you initiate yourself.

b. iCloud Sync (iOS only)

On iOS, if you are signed into iCloud, the App syncs your entries across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit service. Sync is on by default when you are signed into iCloud — you don't need to enable it, but you can turn it off at any time in your device Settings (Settings → your name → iCloud → Saved to iCloud → Pull-Up Tracker). Synced data is:

  • Stored in your personal iCloud account, encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple (and end-to-end encrypted if you have Advanced Data Protection enabled)
  • Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

The developer never has access to your iCloud data.

c. Android

The Android app has no cloud sync of any kind. Your data stays on your device unless you export it yourself.

4. Data Export & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Export: You can export all your data as JSON or CSV anytime via Settings → Export Data
  • Delete Entries: You can delete individual entries from the History tab
  • Delete All Local Data: Uninstall the App to remove all data stored on the device
  • iCloud Data (iOS): Uninstalling the iOS app does not delete the copy in your iCloud account — it will sync back if you reinstall. To permanently delete synced data, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Pull-Up Tracker → Delete Data

5. In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade. On iOS the purchase is processed by Apple via StoreKit; on Android it is processed by Google via Google Play Billing. All transactions are handled entirely by Apple or Google — we do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing details. Your purchase history is managed by the respective store and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Siri & Shortcuts (iOS only)

The iOS app supports Siri voice commands and the Shortcuts app for hands-free logging. All voice processing is handled by Apple on your device or via Apple's servers. We do not receive, store, or have access to any voice or audio data.

7. Notifications

The App can send local notifications with weekly and monthly progress summaries, and an optional streak-protection reminder. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — no data is sent to any server. Notification permissions are requested only with your explicit consent and can be disabled at any time in your device Settings.

8. Third-Party Services

The iOS app uses the following Apple services:

  • SwiftData: For local data storage on your device
  • CloudKit: For iCloud sync (see Section 3)
  • WidgetKit: For home screen and lock screen widgets
  • StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases (handled by Apple)
  • AppIntents: For Siri and Shortcuts integration

The Android app uses the following Google service:

  • Google Play Billing: For processing in-app purchases (handled by Google)

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services on either platform.

9. Data Security

Your data is protected by:

  • Device encryption on iOS and Android (when your device has a passcode or screen lock)
  • Apple's CloudKit encryption for synced data on iOS
  • No transmission to external servers (beyond Apple's iCloud on iOS)

10. Support Email

If you contact us at support@pulluptracker.app, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. The in-app "Contact Support" option pre-fills basic diagnostic details (such as app version and device model) to help us assist you — you can see and edit everything before sending. We use this information only to respond to your request and never share it.

11. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or process personal data, we hold nothing about you to access, correct, or delete — your workout data lives on your device, under your control (see Section 4). If you have contacted support and would like your email correspondence deleted, email us and we will delete it.

12. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App contains no account system, tracking, or personal data collection, so we have no way to identify users by age.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
